Where Computers are used

Computers are used everywhere and every time. They are used in banks as terminals such as the cash machines or in front of the bank clerks you are asking to put money on your account. But that’s not everything, there are many more places where they are!

Every time you use your calculator, you use a computer. In Medical facilities like hospitals they are used to see if a patient is reliable for a medicine.

Also computers in airports are used to buy Tickets and to transport your baggage to the correct airplane. Even in school, learning with the computer is indispensable! In subjects like history you can inform you quickly by searching in Wikipedia or build intuitive politic presentations.

In Company’s a computer is standard. Writing E-mails, offers or technical drawings belong to basic training. Computers are also used at home and in Shops. At home you perhaps surf in the internet. In a shop every article is scanned very quickly and you get a printed bill automatically.

My opinion to the development from Windows Vista to Windows 7

Vista was a big fail of Microsoft, like Windows Millennium. I am a Linux user for a long time now and I think Windows 7 will get me to install it beside my Ubuntu 9.10. After the second Vista Service Pack the stability was okay but not like Windows 7. Microsoft’s newest Operating system is very fast and stable. I am using the 64-Bit Version at my home computer for some months now and it seems to be a great success. The Design of the user interface is nearly the same like the one in Vista but with e taskbar style like the one in Mac OS X.

Additionally Microsoft is developing Office 14 called Office 2010. I downloaded the tech-preview and think everyone should update from Vista to 7. While Vista was one of the slowest and instable running operating systems, 7 is working very well. The computer resources are used more productive, when booting up the machine, it takes much less time than on Vista although program are starting faster.

Compared to Vista, 7 is much better. Everyone should test it and decide which is better for him.
